Porterville nurse changed her Las Vegas vacation plans to give back after recent mass shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An emergency room nurse from Porterville was planning a vacation to Las Vegas changed those plans, after the recent mass shooting.

Jennifer Lambarena works at Sierra View Medical Center's emergency room.

She decided to gather up 500 donuts and plenty of coffee and head to the emergency rooms of the three major hospitals in Las Vegas.

Her friend messaged us on Facebook and says Lambarna is a selfless, caring person and this is the kind of thing she provides her co-workers and patients on a daily basis.

Vegas's 'University Medical Center staff'-"Were happy to pose for a photo with her when she arrived.

They also called the emergency room in Porterville to express how thankful they were at Lambarena's gesture.
