Fresno USD board selects Robert Nelson as Superintendent

Robert "Bob" Nelson has been selected as Superintendent of the Fresno Unified School District.

The board voted in a private session to approve the appointment. Nelson's term will last until June of 2021.

Nelson was named interim Superintendent after Michael Hanson was fired by the board.

Controversial Board President Brooke Ashjian recommended Nelson's approval.
