Hanford Joint Union High School District celebrating new farm and learning lab

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Hanford Joint Union High School District is celebrating the grand opening of a state of the art school farm and learning lab.

The new lab will allow students to home their animals at the location for fair or breeding projects.

This project was 15 years in the works. Hanford School District is only one of two high schools in California that don't have a farm.

The grand opening is Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:00 p.m. The community is invited to come out and celebrate.
