Hundreds said goodbye to Fresno City College's president
Hundreds gathered in Central Fresno to say goodbye to Fresno City College's president. A wreath-laying ceremony was held on campus Tuesday afternoon for Tony Cantu.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds gathered in Central Fresno to say goodbye to Fresno City College's president. A wreath-laying ceremony was held on campus Tuesday afternoon for Tony Cantu.

More than 600 students, faculty and family members attended the event where many talked about Cantu's devotion to education. The 64-year-old worked for 20 years at Fresno City College. First as an instructor, then dean and finally as college president.

Family members hope his life and legacy live on in students. Tony Cantu's family has invited the public to attend his funeral. It will be this Friday at 2pm at St. John's Cathedral.
