FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- For the first time, Madera Unified will offer a dual language immersion program for kindergarten students. This is something that's been in effect at Fresno Unified for several years.
Students are taught literacy and content in two languages by qualified bi-literate teachers. It's open to any incoming kindergarten student who is interested, regardless of the language spoken at their home.
Madera unified is hosting ten informational meetings for parents who are interested. The first one is scheduled for Thursday night at Lincoln Elementary, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
