Tackling back to school shopping lists
Summer vacation's almost over. There are just weeks or even days until Valley kids head back to school.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Summer vacation's almost over. There are just weeks or even days until Valley kids head back to school.

The Nicholson family is ready to shop. Armed with a list, Bryan and Josephine searched for back to school supplies with their grandmother Jean.

For retailers like Target, this is one of their busiest times of the year. The store is transformed to offer families a one stop shop from clothing to backpacks and more.

Target spokesperson, Vince Cabias, says employees are seeing more people take advantage of deals and apps. But just how much are Valley families spending? According to our exclusive Action News poll conducted by SurveyUSA, when it comes to back to school supplies, nearly 30 percent spend less than $50, while a majority of shoppers spend $50 to $100. Clothes seem to be the biggest cost. Most will spend $100 to $200.

Experts say shopping early, with a list and by using a coupon or smartphone can all help you save money and cut down on stress this back to school shopping season.
