Visalia students head back to school
New programs people can expect, and how officials are accommodating growth.

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Visalia Unified is home to about 28,000 students who will all be grabbing their backpacks and heading back to class for the new school year on Thursday.

Common core is a big thing that teachers are really focusing on this year. There is also a big push for technology right now in the classrooms, and Visalia Unified will be distributing Chrome Books to students. School officials are also working to make sure students are safe while they are at school.
