Business at the Big Fresno Fair has been slower so far this year compared to the past but vendors are not worried.

"We have noticed that not everybody has come out to the fair yet were expecting a big crowd this final weekend Fresno loves the fair," said Big Fresno Fair vendor Tony Boghosian.

Lola Ramirez owns two concessions stands at the fair and says every fair is different, but normally the first weekend is the busiest. But this year she has seen less people. Ramirez says it all depends on the entertainers and believes this weekend's lineups will bring the bigger crowds.

"I'm telling my employees get ready because it's going to happen to us-- what did in our last fair, started out slow and then bang they wipe us out," said Ramirez.

Fair Deputy Manager Stacy Rianda also says this weekend will be the busiest and they are gearing up for a huge turnout over the next few days.

"We've been having a great year so far our attendance has kind of been up and down over the days like a little rollercoaster but overall were having a wonderful fair we have lots of people out here tonight ," said Rianda.

Vendors say it is just part of the business--some days are busier than others but they are confident the crowds will come out. In the meantime, they are preparing for a busy closing weekend.

"We've always said the Fresno Fair is probably the most consistent fair in California in terms of attendance, but again the story will be told that last weekend but the Fresno Fair always turns out big and its never disappointed the 12 years we've been here," said Matthew Holguin.
