STUDIO CITY, Calif. -- "Django Unchained" actress Daniele Watts claims she was accosted by LAPD officers who mistook her for a prostitute.

Watts says she was handcuffed Thursday in Studio City. She says that she and a man she was with had done nothing wrong when they showed affection, fully clothed, in public, according to a post on her Facebook page.

The actress, who had apparently refused to show identification to officers, also posted a picture of herself sobbing next to an LAPD officer.

The LAPD refused to elaborate on the incident, but tells Eyewitness News Watts was detained following a call from a citizen.
