Families Get Sneak Peek of Upcoming Pixar Movie
Hundreds of volunteers from the Community Food Bank had a chance to bring their families to a private advance screening of Disney Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" Saturday.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of volunteers from the Community Food Bank had a chance to bring their families to a private advance screening of Disney Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" Saturday.

The fun started with free popcorn and drinks at the concession stand -- inside the United Artists Broadway Faire 10 Theatre in northwest Fresno. This special sneak peek is part of a broader effort by The Walt Disney Company to support local food banks across the country by donating $1,500,000 -- including $15,000 in Fresno.

"We received a very large donation earlier this week," said Community Food Bank CEO Andy Souza." And to follow it up with an event that we can say thank you to our staff and volunteers because, really, at the end of the day, they are the ones who are touching the lives of the people we get to serve."

ABC30 President and General Manager Dan Adams noted the importance of giving back to the community. "This is very important for The Walt Disney Company, as our parent company, and ABC30 to give back to our community," Adams said. "We're thrilled to be a part of it."

The volunteers who attended Saturday's screening help serve 280,000 people each month, and they said the need is especially high during the holidays.
