Lady Gaga delivered one of the most memorable moments of the 88th Oscars with her beautiful performance of "Til It Happens To You."

Vice President Joe Biden appeared onstage to introduce the pop star, who then delivered a stunning rendition of the Oscar-nominated song from the documentary The Hunting Ground alongside sexual assault survivors.

After the performance, attendees at the ceremony stood up and gave Gaga a rousing applause. "Til It Happens To You" holds special significance to Gaga: earlier in the night, she had posted on Instagram detailing her own struggles with abuse.

"I never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He's stood by me all night proud and unashamedly. THATS a real man." Gaga wrote on Instagram.

The pop star also tweeted saying that she would be thinking of musician Kesha on Oscar Sunday, who herself claims to have been abused by record producer Dr. Luke.

Kesha then tweeted at Gaga and Biden after her performance.
