In the fourth installment of the series, the film takes place after the official opening of the amusement park featuring genetically resurrected dinosaurs, set 22 years after the horrific events in the 1993 smash hit, Jurassic Park.

The trailer features the popular dinosaurs previously showcased in the franchise, such as Brachiosaurus and Velociraptors, and a new dinosaur that appears to be the aquatic Pliosaurus (in a clever shout-out to Executive Producer Steven Spielberg's Jaws). But the trailer centers around an entirely never-before-seen dinosaur: a "genetically modified hybrid."

Though few plot details are revealed, it appears as if this hybrid dinosaur will be the new big bad to wreck havoc on the lives of vacationing tourists, replacing previously chomping champions Tyrannosaurus Rex and Spinosaurus.

In the pre-trailer released on Sunday, Universal stated that it had intended to release the official trailer during Thanksgiving football, though apparently decided to jump on the buzz after the video achieved more than 7 million views in two days.

The film stars Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Bryce Dallas Howard (The Twilight Saga).
