WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- The stolen Oscar dress worn by Lupita Nyong'o has apparently been located after the person who took the dress called TMZ.

"We believe this dress is the dress that was stolen from the London hotel," said Lt. Michael White of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities say TMZ called to report that they received a call from an anonymous person who stated that he left the dress in a second floor bathroom that was being renovated.

The caller told TMZ that he took the dress to the garment district and was told that the pearls weren't real.

The sheriff's department says they are now in possession of a dress that greatly resembles the missing Calvin Klein dress, which had an estimated value of $150,000.

According to investigators, the dress was taken from the actress' room at the London West Hollywood hotel in the 1000 block of N. San Vicente Boulevard Wednesday while she was out.

Detectives are working to confirm that the dress that was found is the dress taken from Nyong'o's hotel room. No arrests have been made.
