Fresno Sheriff's Department searching for at-risk elderly man with dementia

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- UPDATE: Fresno Police officers found Nasarit. He is safe, healthy and has been returned to his family.

Miguel Gomez Nasarit, 73, was last seen around 2:00 p.m. on November 8, 2017. He was spotted getting onto a Fresno City bus in the area of Olive Ave. and Fresno Street.

Nasarit suffers from dementia, which requires him to take medication. For the sake of his health, it is critical that he be found as soon as possible.

Nasarit is Hispanic, 5'0", 160 lbs. with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt, beige pants, a black coat and brown cowboy boots.

A Silver Alert has been activated through the California Highway Patrol.

The purpose of the Silver Alert program is to establish a quick response system following an unexplained or suspicious disappearance of an elderly person, or person who is developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired.
