Jim Mickunas would describe his daughter Kandice as far from traditional.

"My daughter has always found her own path," Jim wrote on YouTube. "She played flag football at 6. She hated wearing dresses. She wore a tuxedo to her first communion. She lettered in soccer and track. She then became an engineer for the largest automaker in the world when she was 22."

So when it came time for her wedding day, Jim opted for something different than the traditional father-daughter dance.

In the video above, Jim and Kandice dance briefly to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World." But after the song ends, Kandice and Jim are handed baseball gloves as the crowd begins clapping along to John Foggerty's baseball anthem "Centerfield." The father-daughter duo then toss the ball back and forth until the song ends.

"I could not imagine having a traditional father daughter dance with her," Jim wrote. That is not what we were or are...So I came up with this. She had no idea!"
