China Peak Opening
China Peak is welcoming its first visitors of the season this weekend. With more than six inches of new snow, the resort is hoping for an action-packed next few days. Lift tickets are being offered at a discounted price because the resort only has a few areas open for skiers and snowboarders.
Brad Paisley in Fresno
Country music superstar Brad Paisley added a Fresno stop to his successful tour. He will be performing at the save mart center on January 26th. Information on ticket sales will be available soon.

Fresno Mural District

A local girl scout with a love for the arts and all things downtown is hosting a tour through the Fresno Mural District. Miranda Deis created a downtown art guide for kids to help educate young visitors about the different pieces throughout Fulton Street. The walking tour on Saturday will be her fifth. It is a free event that starts at the Downtown Fresno Partnership office at 10 a.m.

Bad Art Show in Porterville
Porterville's second annual bad art show is underway. The show curator says it celebrates bad art. There are three categories: rejected work, tongue -in- cheek, and commercial junk. About 40 local artists entered and about 100 pieces are on display. The bad art show is open to the public and you can catch it until March at the Porterville Art Association Gallery. This Friday there will be a reception with bad music and junk food to accompany the bad art.
