Fire destroys Southeast Fresno apartment

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Paramedics treated one person for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a Southeast Fresno apartment building. It started around 7:45 Wednesday night at a complex on Mono Avenue near Ninth.

Firefighters contained the flames to a single unit as residents were quickly evacuated as a precaution.

The unit is said to be a total loss and the woman who lives there told investigators she didn't know how the fire started.
