Annual Cantaloupe Roundup in Firebaugh

FIREBAUGH, California -- For the first time, Fresno County is designating this week as California Cantaloupe Week -- perfect timing for Firebaugh's annual Cantaloupe Roundup.

It's all to celebrate peak harvest as well as what's locally grown. Fresno County is the largest cantaloupe producing county in the nation. Growers produce almost 250,000 tons of cantaloupe that are shipped all over the country.
