Chef Shayna's Wawona frozen peaches recipes
Chef Shayna is keeping it local as she shows us how to make a Peach Tart and a Peach Smoothie using Wawona Frozen Foods peaches.

After seeing all the delicious Wawona peaches on Made in the Valley, you're probably thinking about what you can make with them. Since many people already have a favorite Cobbler recipe, Chef Shaya is sharing a couple more ideas using the Valley treat.

Peach Tart Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sliced Peaches
  • 3 TB Honey
  • 1 TB Lemon Juice
  • 1 Puff Pastry Sheet
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 with your baking sheet or Pizza stone inside.
  2. On parchment paper roll out Pastry dough. Roll in each edge towards the center, about an inch to make a border.
  3. In a separate bowl, toss Peaches with honey and lemon juice.
  4. Place dough on heated baking sheet, fill with the peach mixture. Brush the edges lightly with egg and sprinkle on sugar if desired.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes and serve with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Peach Pick Me Up Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Frozen Wawona Peaches
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 cup pineapple slices in juice
  • 1 Banana
  • Ice

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth.
