Harvest season is underway and starting Monday, growers will be opening their fruit stands.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Harvest season is underway and starting Monday, growers will be opening their fruit stands.

Farm stands and stores are already featuring the very best fresh picked strawberries, blueberries, cherries, apricots, peaches and nectarines to the delight of the fruit loving fans.

The 12th anniversary of the Fresno County Fruit Trail is off to an early start in 2014. The trail maps out more than three dozen stands and businesses where you can find fresh food.

The Fresno County Fruit Trail is similar to a wine trail, and features a drive through the countryside with stops permitting visitors to taste and purchase the very best local produce fresh from the farm.
