Fresno Food Expo attracts sold-out crowd
Foodies had their opportunity to try a taste of the Central Valley at the sold-out Fresno Food Expo Thursday night.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Foodies had their opportunity to try a taste of the Central Valley at the sold-out Fresno Food Expo Thursday night. The event opened to the public at 5 p.m., and for $40, you could wine, dine, and get to know your local growers. Earlier Thursday, the Buyers Choice Awards were handed out to various vendors.

This year's event had 917 vendors, way over their goal of 750. This is the first food expo appearance for Clovis brewing company House of Pendragon. They say after brewing for two years, they're growing rapidly, and this is the perfect time to get their beers in front of the public.

"Most people still don't even know who we are," said Tommy Ceprelian. "Even though we've been around for a couple of years. So basically [it's] just telling our story about our beers, which beers we brought today, and what the future looks like for us, and maybe they can see us in the store shelves in a year or so."

The Fresno Food Expo sold more than 1,000 tickets to the public for Thursday night's event.
