Homemade ice cream recipe
Chef Shayna from the Young Chef's Academy shows us how we can make our own ice cream right at home.

Ice Cream:

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 TB Sugar
  • 1 Quart Zip-lock Bag
  • 1 Gallon Zip-Lock Bag
  • Ice
  • 1/2 Cup Ice Cream Salt

To Prepare the Bag:

  • Fill Gallon Bag 1/2 full with Ice.
  • Add Salt and shake to Combine.

For Ice Cream:

  1. In Quart size bag, mix Milk, Vanilla, & Sugar until combined. Seal bag and put the bag inside Gallon bag filled with ice. Shake for 5-10 minutes until Ice Cream starts to freeze.
  2. Place inside Freezer to let harden more.
  3. Remove quart bag and rinse with cold water.
  4. Snip the corner of the bag and pipe the ice cream into the bowl.
  5. Enjoy immediately!

Cookie Dough Recipe

Chef Shayna - cookie dough recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1-2 Tb water

1. Cream together butter and sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in flour, salt, vanilla, & chocolate. Add 1 TB of water until dough forms. If it is too dry, add drops of water until a dough like consistency forms. Form into tiny balls and serve over ice cream!
