Former student arrested for threatening school shooting similar to Florida at Gustine High School

GUSTINE, Calif. (KFSN) -- A former Gustine high school student is now in custody for making threats of gun violence.

Police say 19-year-old Joshua Delgado posted a picture of accused Florida high school shooter, Nikolas Cruz, saying he was going to be the next one to shoot up a place and that he didn't like Gustine high school.

Officers went to Delgado's home Friday where he attempted to run away, but was arrested after a short chase.

Police say he's had several run-ins with the law and has been booked into the Merced County Sheriff's Detention Facility.
