Death Wish cold brew coffee is being recalled because it could contain a deadly toxin
Death Wish Coffee Co. says it's recalling 11-ounce Nitro Cold Brew cans.

Death Wish Coffee Co. says it's recalling 11-ounce Nitro Cold Brew cans after determining that its manufacturing process could lead to the growth of bacteria producing botulin toxin. Mike Brown, the founder of the upstate N.Y.-based company, says production of Nitro Cold Brew is being halted until an additional manufacturing process is implemented.

According to an announcement on their website, consumers can get refunds from the retailer they purchased the drink from.

Death Wish Coffee's issued a statement that reads in part, "Although we're pretty disappointed, we'd like to thank Cornell for being so rigorous in their testing. We can only get better.

In short, it looks like our process wasn't perfect and we're excited to revisit it with guidance from some of the most meticulous scientists in the world."
