Exercises after a Stroke
Working out to decrease your high blood pressure and lower your bad cholesterol is key in aiding stroke prevention.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Working out to decrease your high blood pressure and lower your bad cholesterol is key in aiding stroke prevention.

Exercise with movement and range of motion may reduce the risk of having a second stroke. After a stroke, work with a therapist to get that range of motion back as soon as possible.

Range of motion and strength training will help keep the affected side flexible and useful. Balance, flexibility, and strength training are all crucial to a faster recovery as well as future stroke prevention.

Stay active, engage in social activities as much as possible. A therapist and doctor will get you on the road to recovery.
