Getting fit with Fido
How your dog can give you some motivation to get out and exercise.

When starting a walking routine what better workout partner than your dog. It's important to start your dog out nice and easy. You and your best friend should begin with 20 to 30 minutes of walking.

If your dog needs to drop a few pounds you want to go at an easy pace. You don't want to irritate his hips. Watch the heat, it can also wear your dog out. You have to be very careful with dogs with smooshed faces as they don't release their heat as well as other dogs. Always make sure you carry water for you and your pet.

The last thing to think about is their paws. You want to try and walk them on grass if it is hotter than 90 degrees as the asphalt can scorch Fido's paws.

Most importantly, you want to keep man's and woman's best friend HEALTHY and HAPPY!
