Keep your workout on track over the holidays
Through the Holiday Season it is easy to get busy and let your fitness routine fall short. Here are some tips to help you stay on track.

FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Through the Holiday Season it is easy to get busy and let your fitness routine fall short. Here are some tips to help you stay on track.

Start out first thing in the morning so you get it done without distractions.

Find a workout partner that has similar goals and the same time available as you and workout together. The critical part of exercise is motivation. You have a better chance of getting a workout partner doing 30 minutes daily. I have found if I do something every day for 30 minutes I see better results than trying to do something every other day for an hour.

Always make your fitness fun by doing something that gives you energy. Try a circuit routine that has powerful moves. Here are a few of my favorite:

- Lunge and hold dumbbell in front then slow twist. Keep your hips stable.

- Wall squat with a snow angel, take this movement slow and at your range of motion. Lunge with your arms out like a cross with thumbs back, chest tall.

These are fun exercises that will keep you feeling strong and healthy.
