Stretching before your workout

Stretching is just as important as any other component of fitness. (KFSN)

Stretching can improve joint range of motion, improve athletic/fitness/exercise performance and decrease your risk of injury.

For the first stretch we are going to be seated on a bench with one foot up and we are going to reach for our toes with both hands, stretch in a smooth motion, no bouncing.

For the next stretch, we are going to bring our foot in as much as we can towards us, bending at the knee. And we are going to lean into the stretch, maintaining posture. keep the shoulders back, chin up.

Remember, stretching increases blood flow to the muscle.
