Tulare Regional Medical Center files for bankruptcy

FRESNO, Calif (KFSN) -- Tulare Regional Medical Center has moved to cut ties with the company that manages it.

The hospital board said the decision was made to protect public health and safety. Last month, the management group announced it did not have the funds to pay nurses and doctors.

The board responded to the financial crisis by declaring bankruptcy. The board's legal counsel is now working on the process of rejecting the contract.
