FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who flipped a car and abandoned an injured passenger inside.
CHP officers say it happened at about 3 Saturday morning.
The suspect, according to authorities, lost control after taking the Downtown Fresno exit from Highway 99 to Golden State.
Officials say the car hit a pole and tumbled, roof first, onto an overpass, crushing the passenger side of the vehicle.
Officers say after the accident, the driver climbed out and ran away.
Fresno police and K-9 officers tried to help find the driver but so far they have not tracked the person down.
The passenger was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
