A Fresno family is gifted a new home, just in time for Thanksgiving
The three bed, two bathroom home is even equipped with solar panels.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno family is enjoying a new home from Habitat for Humanity, just in time for Thanksgiving.

A house in southeast Fresno was dedicated to the Hernandez family Saturday.The three bed, two bathroom home is even equipped with solar panels.

Organizers said handing over the keys to the family was a special moment that fulfilled the organization's goal. "The Hernandez family, today, received their keys and our whole purpose is to share the love of Jesus by building homes community and home," said Matthew Grundy, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Fresno. "We think all three of those were achieved today."

The Hernandez' put in sweat equity hours by helping to build the home.

They said it has also inspired them to search for better jobs so they can meet their financial needs and improve their daughters' future.
