After a two week trial jurors have reached a verdict in the trial of a Fresno man accused of killing his wife and her lover.

Leuth Sengsongkham appeared stoic as the verdict came down but family members broke down in tears.

Sengsongkham shot his wife and her boyfriend in the field where they all worked back in 2015 and left them there while he drove to see his daughters in Las Vegas.

"The one thing they want the community to know is that their father Leuth Sengsongkham is a good and decent man. They stand behind their father even after this verdict has come through," said Roberto Dolce, Defense Attorney.

"This case is a tragedy, this family they lost their mother, they lost their father, they lost a friend of the family, it's a heartbreaking case, it's tragic for the family it's tragic all around," said William Lacy, Senior Deputy District Attorney.

Jurors found Sengsongkham guilty of second degree murder in the killing of his wife and first degree murder for the killing of her boyfriend.

Sengsongkham now faces 90 years to life in prison.
