One man is in police custody accused of shooting at two cars in the South Valley.

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says they received two calls Saturday morning about a man shooting a gun at cars near Elm Road and Terrabella near Porterville.

Moments later, officers received another call from the KMS Dairy saying they went on lockdown after a suspect had pointed the gun at employees in the dairy.

The suspect then broke a window of a dairy truck got in and drove away. 27-year-old Jesus Chavez later turned himself into the Delano Police Department.

Through the investigation officials say they linked Chavez to another random shooting on December 8th near Terrabella.

In that shooting, a victim was shot in the arm while driving a vehicle.

Chavez has been booked on two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
