Man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Visalia police were called out to West Cambridge Avenue Sunday morning for a domestic disturbance.

When they arrived, officers say 25-year-old Michael Brown attempted to drive away from the scene. Authorities say he drove towards an officer who was trying to detain him.

Once he was stopped, police determined that Brown caused significant damage to his girlfriend's property.

Brown was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and for having an outstanding warrant.
