Man in critical condition following Fresno shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Police are searching for the suspect in a shooting in East Central Fresno.

The shooting happened near Olive and Peach avenues at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers say they found the victim in a vacant apartment with a gun shot wound.

Police believe the incident may be gang-related.

"The area historically has some issues going on over here, but at this time we don't exactly who shot him or why he was shot," said Lt. Carl McKnight, Fresno Police Department.

Authorities say the victim did not give police any information about the shooting before he went to the hospital. He was last listed in critical condition.
