Man in wheelchair hit by car in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Southeast Fresno.

The crash happened near Chestnut Avenue and Dwight Way. The woman driving told police she saw an object in the roadway and tried to avoid it. She ended up hitting a man in a wheelchair.

She remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
