Man is in critical condition after a drive-by shooting in Central Fresno near Normal & McKinley

Fresno Police say a man is in surgery and in critical condition after he was shot in a drive-by shooting near Mckinley and Normal Avenues.

Officials say they responded to a shots fired call around 8 pm Sunday evening.

When officials arrived officers located a victim with a gunshot wound in his upper torso past.

It is believed an 80's or 90's model blue Mustang with a tan convertible top is connected to the drive-by shooting.

Officers say the neighborhood where the shooting took place has been a recent hot spot for shootings in the last two months.

The victim is said to be between the ages of 18 to 25 years old.

The shooting happened near the McKinley Market. Officials say they are now reviewing surveillance video from the market.
