Man killed after being hit by SUV while on a skateboard in Southwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is dead after being hit by an SUV in Southwest Fresno. It happened shortly after 7:30 Tuesday morning on Golden State near C Street.

Officials said the 25-year-old man rode on a skateboard through Golden State when the SUV struck him. The victim died at the scene, while the driver suffered minor injuries.

Police said the driver had the right of way during the collision.

The off-ramp was closed for several hours as investigators looked into the accident.
