1 killed in Central Fresno drive-by shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators are looking into a drive-by shooting in Central Fresno that left one person dead.

Fresno police say a man was driving on Fruit Avenue near Brown Avenue Sunday evening, when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot him several times.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Authorities say a female passenger in the victim's car was not injured. Officers questioned her and other witnesses.

Police describe the suspect vehicle as while or silver, with two people inside. Investigators say it's not clear yet if this crime was gang-motivated.
