1 pound of cocaine, $17K found in car after Merced chase

Two men are in the Merced County Jail after police say they found drugs and thousands of dollars in cash in their car.

Omar Lopez, 22, from Turlock and Donnell Mays, 39, of Atwater were arrested last night.

Investigators say they took officers on a short chase through Merced before they finally pulled over.

Officers say they found over a pound of cocaine and over $17-thousand in cash in their car. They both now face several charges.
