Mother and newborn recovering after accident

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pregnant mother, forced to have an emergency C-section following a car crash, is in stable condition.

Family members said Lai Sinouan and her newborn are recovering. Sinouan was in critical condition Wednesday, after witnesses say a tow truck slammed into her car.

A hero stepped in to help after her water broke and tried to calm her down as first responders arrived. The driver and a toddler in the back are recovering from minor injuries at this time.
