Valley Armenians celebrate Christmas
Because of the difference of celebration dates on the Armenian calendar, Christmas is actually January 6.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Christmas may be over for many people, but the celabrations are still underway for some Valley residents.

Members of the First Armenian Presbyterian Church in Fresno joined residents at the California Armenian Home to celebrate Armenian Christmas early this year.

It actually falls on January 6. Reverand Greg Haroutunian says this is because of the difference of celebration dates on the Armenian calendar. So, Christmas is celebrated on the 25. And a second time, after they've brought in the new year with family.

On Sunday, youth group members sang carols and shared messages about the nativity.
