FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at River Park is in police custody.

Fresno police said Jeremy Lynd is in the custody of the US Marshals Service in Sacramento.

Authorities believe he tried to use a stun gun to rob a former sheriff's deputy at a River Park ATM Friday. The former deputy fought back by firing his gun at Lynd and Bonnie Sue Sevier as they tried to run him over with a stolen car.

Sevier was hit in the leg and later arrested. Lynd ran away but was arrested this past weekend in the state capital.

He's also a suspect in an armed robbery in Turlock.
