Urban art on display in Visalia
The 5th Annual Step Up Urban Art Tour began Wednesday.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some unique paintings were on display in the south valley.

The 5th annual Step Up Urban Art Tour began Wednesday in Visalia.

Where artists from all around the state came to participate. The display features spray paint art pieces inspired by the Tulare County office of Education's "Choices Program," an after school activity designed to help children succeed.

"Some of the best art I've seen recently is the stuff you see done on trains," Tulare County Supervisor Phil Cox said. "And this give them an outlet to work with real artists doing this type of artwork and they can learn they can be creative in a positive way."

The event is part of a four-month tour at 10 library locations as well as the Tulare County Government Plaza.
