FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators are trying to track down leads in Fresno County after a mother was shot several times and killed. Deputies also found another man dead outside the home off Auberry Road. The only survivor was the female victim's two-year-old daughter.

Late Thursday afternoon the Fresno County Coroner identified the female victim as 36-year-old Karisha Beardsley of Clovis.

Fresno county sheriff's deputies spent all day Thursday picking through a foothill home where a man and a woman were found dead just after midnight. The only one left alive inside the home was the female victim's two-year-old daughter. She was awake and not even crying when deputies showed up.

So far investigators said they're talking to a lot of people but have very few clues. "As far as motive goes, we really don't have that. It's kind of a whodunit right now," said Tony Botti, Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

Neighbors said the woman who rented the house is a single mom who's been raising her daughter alone since the toddler's father was sent to prison last year. But now detectives say the most interesting discovery has been methamphetamine. "We did find a small bit of narcotics inside the home. Nothing that lends itself to maybe this was a drug rip or anything. Nothing of a large amount," said Botti.

Deputies said the female victim had obvious gunshot wounds, the man found lying outside the home was also shot.

The owner of the Valero Gas Station that's steps away from the home said the female victim was a regular customer and last seen a few days ago.

Homicide investigators are trying to track down the last people who were with the victims.

So far the murder weapon has not been found.
