FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new class at Fresno Adult School is giving new and experienced musicians a chance to make music together.

The New Horizons band and orchestra held their first practice Wednesday at Bullard High School.

During the course members of the band will learn and practice music in a group setting. At the end of the course, there will be a concert for friends and family to enjoy. Organizers said they're still welcoming new members and encourage locals to take a chance and join in the fun. "It's like swimming, once you've learned it, it comes back real quick and you're in a room full of others who feel the same way you do. It's less presure than what they think it is," said Craig Erker, band director.

The band rehearses every Wednesday evening at Bullard High School.
