Police identify shooter in east central Fresno officer involved shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police have now identified the man who they say shot at them during a chase in east central Fresno Wednesday.

They're now searching for 19-year old Adell Vaughn.

They said Vaughn was a passenger in the car Miles Banks was driving as they tried to pull banks over and arrest him. Banks is suspected of being the gunman in a shooting that happened Tuesday. Undercover officers planned to arrest him at his home but they said he took off in his car before they could catch him.

Police said Banks picked up Vaughn who ended up shooting at officers several times.

The chase ended at Peach and Olive after officers forced the suspect's car off the road.

That's when Vaughn took off running.

Police arrested Banks.
