School gym opens classes to the community
Kids moving inc is setting up a Gym Without Walls at West Fresno Middle School where families can come and enjoy a workout for free!

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- School officials say the new program encourages healthy living while also creating a sense of community. Families learn dance and participate in interactive fitness classes.

Instructors say they wanted to provide the free program since gym memberships can be too costly for some families. "Not everybody can go out and head into the city in Fresno and go to a gym there or can even afford to go to the gym. So to provide a no cost gym, and a way to workout, and build friendships, and have a great community environment is awesome," said Nicholas Perez, Kids Moving Inc.

West Fresno Middle School officials say the fitness program has improved attendance and lowered behavioral issues at the school.
