FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Cheerleaders with San Joaquin Memorial High School are in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl this weekend.

The team and their head coach arrived Thursday and have been rehearsing for their performance since they got there. They're one of 15 high schools selected to be a part of the pre-game show performing with pop singer Rachel Platt.

It's an experience they are excited about and thankful for and their coach says they are taking their rehearsals very seriously. "That's just really impressive there's something about students at San Joaquin," coach Jerri Dewey said. "They're standouts and they are representing what Memorial is all about in so many ways."

The girls are excited to represent the valley as part of the show and cheer on Derek Carr but are also making sure they get some beach time in.

They return on Monday.
