FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno City Council member Sal Quintero announced his candidacy Saturday for Fresno County supervisor.
He's running for the District-3 seat being vacated by Henry Perea. Quintero has served on the city council for 14 years and is a lifelong resident of southeast Fresno.
He says his priorities are helping get criminals off the streets and keep them in jail along with upgrading infrastructure in local neighborhoods and dealing with homeless issues in the community. "It's been a big concern with the city and county so I want to see what kind of funding is there, how we're using, and what's most effective.">
It's not clear yet who Quintero may face in the run for supervisor.
